- promote all forms of kite flying: traction, sport, display
- provide information about local kiting sites and activities
- organise kiting events: impromptu weekend fly-ins, social events,

- co-ordinate negotiation with local authorities to secure access to
flying sites

| Flying ban at Queens
Parade
The ban on flying at Queens Parade is on again.
A License was introduced, however the ban was re-instated whilst the terms of the licence are revised and the new terms introduced.

NOTE: Static Flying is allowed without a license
Anyone ignoring this ban and flying without a licence is likely to jeopardise future use of the site for all and may lead to a permanent kiting ban.

SEKA raising money for Charity for Hoylake 24 hour Challenge
SEKA Members will again be representing SEKA at the third Hoylake 24 Hour challenge in aid of charity.
The SEKA Team "The Unlikely Lads" includes Chris Blackburn (Crispy), Martin Thomas (Thorondor) and Steve Fifield (Badger).
The teams first target is to beat their performance at last year's event, 297.2km, their second, to challenge and travel a further than the other teams. And who knows they may even have a shot at the current UK record of 639.15km or in perfect conditions, the world record of 1050km!
The Hoylake 24 challenge takes place on 5-6th June 2010 at Hoylake Beach, the Wirral.
